I might be wrong, but as I remember it, I think this is Robert De Niro's first go at a comedy. It's perfect to do a gangster crime/comedy then... isn't it?
I watched this movie when it was released, and then sometime later - and again today.
It still holds up, and is entertaining and funny. It's still a little strange to see badass De Niro in a role like this, but again, the mixture of his role is really good.
