The First Horror Movie in history!
29 July 2022
Georges Melies was an innovative man who created several masterpieces like "Trip to the Moon" among other.

Melies is considered the Father of Special Effects due to his innovative scenes that involved objects disappearing and things appearing respectively, he is also named for being the first to use the cinematographic techniques of the time.

I never found the Plot of this Movie coherent, it is just a Swordsman in a Castle that when a magical cauldron appears, many things begin to appear and disappear from the place and he even has a fight with a vampire who is defeated because he is hit with a cross.

I can't imagine the technical innovations for the time, this must have been very impressive in 1896!.

Visually it is currently not a big deal due to the increased quality of the Effects but if you think otherwise you will realize how impressive the Footage is.

For me, this movie was a great advance for horror movies and movies in general and that's why I give it an 8!.
