Megaforce (1982)
2/10
This was rather painful to watch...

Right, well stumbling upon the 1982 action sci-fi movie "Megaforce" here in 2022, I opted to sit down and watch this 40 year old movie without ever having heard about it. I didn't know what I was in for here, but truth be told, I wasn't really expecting much from writers Bob Kachler, James Whittaker, Albert S. Ruddy, Hal Needham and Andre Morgan.

And this movie was definitely not something that was tailored for my particular likes and preference. It was difficult to sit through this movie, especially because all I kept seeing was Barry Bostwick playing the lead singer from Bee Gees and the director from "Knight Rider".

The storyline in "Megaforce" fall completely short of providing me with much entertainment, and I managed to suffer through the ordeal up to the scene where Ace Hunter (played by Barry Bostwick) and Zara (played by Persis Khambatta) jumped out of the air plane and did a flashy show-off duo-jump. By that point there had been nothing interesting in the storyline, so I just simply gave up.

The visuals in "Megaforce" weren't great, and watching a military force in spandex just didn't cut it for me.

Turns out I had not been missing out on a particular great movie experience here with "Megaforce".

My rating of "Megaforce" lands on a generous two out of ten stars.
