This was a fairly simple story, but the ending built up to drama that was never really fulfilled. An old tobacco town is dying, a slick Texan comes to store suspicious material in an old warehouse. That's about it. Burstyn plays the last of the tobacco heirs, trying to hang onto her house and renting out the warehouse to stay afloat. Colin Firth is good, but why they hired a Brit to play a Texan is beyond me. Subplot of a young gal anxious to get away, but things don't work out, was not really necessary.
