The Dancing Is Good
2 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
A trite premise: young man and his family move to a new small town and are shocked to find that rock and roll music and dancing is not allowed within the town limits, all due to the ruling town preacher. Ren (the young man) doesn't like this, and finds the preacher's daughter having the same attitude. Not directly challenging the town preacher, Ren and buddies go to a tavern some distance away to experience forbidden pleasures.

Not quite the same ending as other "outsider comes and reforms the backward town" premise. Ren changes the preacher's mind in part by pointing out that dancing is sanctioned by the Bible itself, thus pointing out it is not Christianity that prompted the preacher's rules. But it is the dancing that is far more entertaining that the movie itself.
