Navajo Joe (1966)
6/10
Burt Reynolds' Spaghetti Western adventure...
14 September 2022
I happened to stumble upon the 1966 Western movie "Navajo Joe", and seeing that it was starring a young Burt Reynolds, then of course I had to watch it. I had actually never heard about "Navajo Joe" before now in 2022, as I found it by random chance. And I didn't know that Burt Reynolds had actually starred in Westerns either.

The writers put together a fair enough storyline for "Navajo Joe". Sure, it wasn't exactly an outstanding foray into the Western genre, but it was watchable enough for what it turned out to be. A bit generic at times, actually.

It was fun to watch a young Burt Reynolds on the screen, playing a Navajo character. And he actually managed to pull that off well enough. He was actually the only familiar face on the screen for me. But then again, I haven't really been much of a fan of 'Spaghetti Westerns'.

If you enjoy the 'Spaghetti Westerns', then you will most likely enjoy "Navajo Joe" a lot more than I did. And if you have a minute or two, then look through the 'Did You Know' section for "Navajo Joe" here on IMDb, as there are some pretty interesting facts tied to the movie.

My rating of director Sergio Curbucci's 1966 Western "Navajo Joe" lands on a six out of ten stars.
