Motivations Confusing at Times
18 September 2022
At times it's hard to figure out motivations when it comes to insider politics. Here we have a gathering of the Roy family, trying to figure out who the most substantial presidential candidate will be, now that the "raisin" is not seeking reelection. In addition to the bullying by Logan (a given) we have lots of stomach acid. I don't know what is going on with Greg. He is stuck in the middle, ultimately worried about how much money he will end up with. Tom is trying to figure out what prison will be like, including eating things he likes because for years it won't be like that. He stupidly has given himself over as a ritual sacrifice. Shiv is cut off at the knees and keeps coming back with her sniveling. The scene with the group picture tells us what a coward she is. And then we have Connor actually considered as a candidate! There is choice making and the motivations are lost on me. What exactly are they after? And why did they pick the guy they picked?
