It's Labor Day weekend, which means that it is time for the annual Bundy barbecue in the backyard, to which Steve and Marcy are invited. Unfortunately, Peggy accidentally knocks over Al's grill, spilling the ashes that are vital to making his burgers the best. Peggy sends the kids to find replacement ashes before Al finds out what has happened.
Most of this episode sees Al finding Peggy more arousing than normal and having sex with her several times, which becomes rather repetitive and not particularly amusing (and, given how much Al dislikes having sex with Peggy, most uncharacteristic). However, it's worth hanging in there for the payoff, in which Kelly realises that the ashes she found are those of Marcy's dead aunt: it's not exactly unexpected, but still very funny when Kelly proceeds to tell Bud and Peggy, who are horrified by the discovery and spit out their food. On the other hand, Steve, who never liked Marcy's aunt, happily polishes off his burger.
