This episode is simply phenomenal. The actors, the writers, and the director all truly outdid themselves. It's such a perfect mixture of comedy and drama. It's what makes this family so entertaining. They are flawed and might make bad decisions but ultimately they love each other and that's sweet to watch.
Ed O'Neil was especially outstanding. His monologue basically explains the entire baggage of the Pritchett family in one fell swoop.
And despite handling such heavy topics, the jokes keep coming. I was laughing one second and crying the next.
Also, always love seeing Catherine O'Hare. She's so funny in this episode as the therapist.
