Who is the other bald guy
27 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
We have a robbery and a shootout in the first scene. Many cops arrive in less than 30 seconds among which are James Knight (Bruce Willis-title role) and his partner Fitzgerald (Lochlyn Munro). Fitz gets shot up pretty badly which happens when you don't wear a vest to confront guys with automatic weapons. I feel as sorry for him as when a drunk guy talking on his cell phone has an accident at 200 MPH and gets hurt because he wasn't wearing a seat belt. Knight's new partner is a former CIA agent (Jimmy Jean-Louis) who claims all these unsolved similar robberies in different cities all have a charter flight leaving the city going back to NY and it centers around a bookie named Winna (Michael Eklund) an acquaintance of Knight. Winna is indeed the pay master and planner using pro athletes who have fallen from grace for one reason or another. Winna also collects sports cards. There is an auction in town for a Wayne Gretzky rookie card that is worth over a million dollars. He wants his guys to go steal the card, even though there is a lot of heat on them.

Bruce Willis is the guy we love to hate outside of Nicolas Cage and Kevin Costner. He was dull and lifeless in this film, not moving much. This is the first of three films which is why Lochlyn Munro didn't die after taking a few shots to the abdomen. The should have waited until they saw how much this one lost before making another one. They had Trevor Gretzky at the card show instead of Paulina who is such a babe. The acting was bad even when Willis wasn't on the screen such as the airplane scene after the shootout. Boring conversation.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.
