The darkish knight.....
13 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
As the city prepares for Halloween, mask-wearing armed robbers critically wound Knight's partner) in a shootout following a heist.

With Knight in hot pursuit, the bandits flee L. A. for New York, where the detective's dark past collides with his present case and threatens to tear his world apart... unless redemption can claim Knight first......

Willis is in this, and although the first movie of this trilogy is named after his character, I will not be commenting on his performance, due to his illness. Peace Bruno.

It's a heist movie of sorts and we get one of the robbers who has family issues. He was once a football player, but now is struggling due to an addiction to painkillers, and constantly fighting with his wife whilst his child is in the background. And that's the drama of the film.

The rest of the film maunders around the plan of a new robbery, and if the gang are all on the same side, or about to double cross one another, and this is on rotation for the rest of the film. People are rich, people aren't, and the poorer you are, the more desperate one becomes.

And that's the film. The character of Knight is in between the narrative, but the film never rises to anything other than barley watchable, as it's the first of a trilogy, which shouldn't be an excuse, but this trilogy has been rushed, and it shows.

It's overlong, with that awful CGI blood that is everywhere these days.
