After the events at Lake Victoria, the pre-historic school of blood-thirsty piranhas make their way into a newly opened waterpark. Piranhas make their way downstream thorough various swimming holes and executing massacres. The piranha attacking and local police, friends and others must work together to stop it . In Cross Lake, Merkin County, the ambitious Chet (David Koechner) opens Big Wet attraction park against the will of his stepdaughter Maddy (Danielle Panabaker) , but things go wrong when the hungry piranha show up. Maddy along with her former school friend Barry (Matt Bush) , who works at The Big Wet, and her former boyfriend, Deputy Kyle (Chris Zylka) , pay a visit to piranha expert Mr. Carl Goodman (Christopher Lloyd) who reveals them surprising circumstances about the dangerous piranha .
