Disappointings maybe too strong a word for a movie which already has a ton of bad reviews. But I hadn't seen any of those going in, and hoped this was going to be an old school action movie. It is old school I guess. But is more like an average 90's Steven Seagal or Jean Claude Van Damme vehicle.
Its a very straight forward film and we've seen it all before. It's basically "hitman redeems himself. The End" Except he doesn't redeem himself all that much, in what's a very short/rushed movie.
It's Still watchable for Antonio Banderas and because its actually an adult movie amongst all the Cartoons out there. There's just not enough action for it to be an action movie, and not enough story for it to be a decent drama or thriller. Think of it as "taken" but in Miami. Where everyone is too hot and tired to do much.
