I guess Knives Out makes everyone want to create witty Agatha Christie-style movies. Unfortunately not everyone is Rian Johnson. Not even Kenneth Branagh and Agatha Christie. From the first seconds this movie really wants you to be amazed by how clever it is. It just becomes desperate and forced instead with way too visible tools for its storytelling, a stupid ending (yeah, I get it, it was foreshadowed) and a sense of humor that's just not too funny. Some actors give their best to save this from feeling so weak, it's not bad to see them play but even that can't save this movie from being a mediocre fluff aspiring to be great.
