I knew Nick Alfieri from Youtube and had to kill some time, so I remembered Unicorn Town without expecting too much.
The movie tells the story of how Nick came from the US to Germany to play a single season of football as an American professional for a small team of mostly German amateurs. But the spirit and mentality of the team surprise him in a positive way and money is not their strongest motivation. Nick documents the attempt of the Unicorns to win the German football league against bigger teams with much more powerful sponsors.
I thoroughly enjoyed this and will watch it again. This is how sports is supposed to be.
