The beauty of the show has always been living in a small town and the battles that must be fought and the villains that must be dethroned in quaint insignificant places. There is no greater villain than Ashley Schaefer. Ashley Schaefer is abusing Kenny's poor friend Stevie. Stevie is being prostituted to Fanta-sipping Japanese Kia executives on Schaefers plantation. The plantation/KIA workers are all sexual deviants and the mammy that works for them is caught up in it too. Through the absurdity, Kenny fights through with heart. He accepts that he has fatherly duties now and, even though he won't say it, that he would do anything for Stevie because they are best friends.
