I enjoyed several aspects of this film. The cast is great the direction stellar and the Oscar winning production design (I. E costume design) is apparent. The story however is very formulaic. To the detriment of the picture itself imo. The whole "nega" black panther but with yellow highlights/spots (video game term - negative version of the character) was a letdown. It takes a very unique film and condenses it to boiler plate MCU popcorn fare. Seeing a screen accurate Kilmonger for the final confrontation would have been ideal imo. It would not only separate the characters differently visually making the final battle more memorable but it would articulate the variance of the character's perspectives better as well. Instead it's "panther without spots vs panther with a dollop of spots" Boring!
