Smattered with decent choices and even better casting/character decisions this film feels like an ACTUAL suicide squad movie. The main villain is an inspired choice even though it feels a little wasted here instead of a JLA centric film. I admit the soundtrack is not as catchy but that's a clear stylistic choice. Make it less "poppy" than prior. The previous attempt that bares the moniker Suicide Squad. Obviously this is the better overall film and design however. The characters actually feel more defined and understandable for the most part. Although the recycled plot aspect of Smith/Elba feels disingenuous in a way because this trope was already explored feels very repetitive although this interpretation is more enjoyable and doesn't erase it's unoriginal manner.
