I remember a time when I thought this was the worst thing on television.
Sexual Education is good.
My issue with this show is not an aversion to sex education.
Everyone should be sexually educated as soon as possible.
But this show embodies all the excruciation of how sex education was handled during my childhood.
This smug, condescending and supercilious piece of edu-non-tainment treats you like an idiot. Like you're a gullible, misogynistic bonehead.
By all means dispel ignorance but they are so obsessed with the process being a way to put teenagers in their place rather than show the patience and empathy required to get through to them.
Obviously it's just meant to be scandalous but I hate that it can't just own that, it has the pretence of trying to be progressive.
It's just sunday school values behind a mask.
