Review of Dinner

Dinner (II) (2014)
diagnosis
16 June 2023
A family dinner in which each the mother, the daughter, the son are isolated in their univers, from the glasses of wine and dreaming, the circle of thoughts, the game on smartphone.

Only the father, the source of benefits for family tries to remind the past, the connections between him and family members, the family atmosphere. But his fury is vain in two ways.

More than a good film and beautiful performance of Christian Borle, the film is a precise, fair, honest and, maybe, resigned diagnosis of contemporary society , reflecting the life of its cell - the family.

So, maybe a photo more than artistic creation. The message is powerful. But it is only for too busy people for understand it.
