Warning: Spoilers
A criminal mastermind has united an international gang in order to rob a bank. Nobody can accuse the gang of a lack of ambition, since they're bent on stealing a mountain of gold bars...

"7 uomini d'oro" is not a bad comedy, just a lazy one. The various makers of the movie could have dreamt up better individual characterizations. They also could have dreamt up more gags or twists. The movie is not helped along by the inclusion of some seriously improbable scenes. Only a complete nitwit would be willing to stand next to pipes or machines likely to spit out gold bars : just one bar catapulted against the head and it's requiem aeternam. Even a bar dropping on a foot could incapacitate someone.

I'm also sorry to say that the music caused me to gnash my teeth with increasing annoyance. (People with dental problems may want to be careful here.)

On the other hand "7 uomini d'oro" has a feeling for lighthearted 1960's camp, witness the various vamp outfits. And it does contain some good finds, such as the sight of a cleverly disguised camera rendered useless by some employee opening a basket and enjoying his lunch.

Amusing but by no means essential.
