The basic economics of film making dictate that, in today's market, there is more demand than supply. Creators can fill the void with overhyped overpriced nonsense (like F&F X) or they can set a more realistic target. And hit it. This is what used to be called a B movie meant to fill time with a colorful and distracting tale of 4 beautiful women who take a spur of the moment trip to Thailand and immediately get involved in some zany adventures involving goons and guns. It never promised to be more than that. And it delivers. It is technically perfect. Even the music fits. I can think of a dozen Netflix series I started and never finished because the production team just plain ran out of ideas halfway in. This film sets a target and hits it. Why the haters?
