Hey man, don't Bundy that book!
11 July 2023
If you were around back in the days of the school library, you might have fond memories of the librarian, most of whom are sweet people. However, if you were Al Bundy, you had Miss De Groot, who might have had it in for you. In this episode, Al must face his fears and return a library book to that library, expecting his old nemesis to be dead. However, she is alive and waiting for him with a fine worth over $2,000.

This one is one of my favorites for a few reasons. The first one is because the kid who plays "Book Boy" is Joseph Dammann. If you were a church kid growing up, you'd remember him from the McGee & Me video series, which was a decent little christian production in good taste. In other words, not preachy, yet it was fun.

Second, Al Bundy's terrific speech to Miss De Groot. He talks about us working class heroes who believed that one day we'd be the millionaires, the rock stars, the movie gods, but we turned out to be the guy living paycheque to paycheque. We are winners because we haven't given up on life despite the fact we know it's not going to get any better until we go back to sleep again.

One of my favorites. Al Bundy also gets the last laugh on Miss De Groot too.
