This movie is really powerful with its messages and subject matter such as school shootings, drugs, trauma, and depression. The movie tackles these topics that happen in modern society and does it well. Some of the writing isn't all that great. Saying "LOL" out loud is not an amazing choice writing wise. Not only is the messages and subject matter handled well, but, putting a high school girl in those situations was probably the best idea the movie could go, especially with all the things she goes through not only being normal high school but also with school shooting being a main plot point of the movie.
