Solid S-word movie, the story is a mess. The director makes the actors and actresses don't seem to know how to play roles.
Long dialogues with various terms that are repeated and wordy to make it look like adult movie consumption but very failed in its implementation.
The scenes are untidy, weird, and I don't know what to say other than messy... strange and uncomfortable cinematography angle shot that tries to appear cinematic and meaningful but unfortunately the results fail. Maybe this is the result of Anno's reluctance to use storyboards in developing his creative visual concept.
I heard that fight scenes don't use stunt directors, no wonder zero go vs ichigo fight scenes are like wrestling porn. They use a 12/14 camera angle using an iPhone but the results are just like that.
CG film class C which is very mediocre is shown repeatedly in several scenes that look very embarrassing. At the end it was even made very dark in the fight with the shocker rider as it covered up a lot of weaknesses.
I think Anno should stop directing real person and writing for live action...
