The Show Must...

Warning: Spoilers
The Show Must Go On and Only Murders in the Building returns for a third season.

The second season climaxed with Oliver Putnam with his Broadway comeback. A new play with star Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd) who died on stage on the opening night. Well at least he did not die in the Arconia.

With an expanded cast that includes Meryl Streep as failed actress Loretta Durkin. It allows the show to explore the new characters in flashbacks. Loretta is someone who never got the breaks but has in depth talents.

Ben is a shallow narcissistic actor who could be casually cruel. He never liked Charles-Haden Savage and wants Loretta fired after the first read through.

The real shock was at the afterparty, Ben was alive, he was revived at the hospital. Only to be later found dead in the Arconia by Charles, Oliver and Mabel.

I found this to be an enjoyable opening episode. It helps that the show has gone for starpower. The quirky humour still works.
