Continuing my plan to watch every movie in Denzel Washington's filmography, I come to his first of three movies, released in 1998, Fallen.
Alongside The Mighty Quinn, Fallen is one of Denzel Washington's most under rated movies. Outside of the super natural element, it is a pretty straight forward detective story and it moves along at a steady pace with good performances from top talent like John Goodman, Donald Sutherland and James Gandolfini. And what a great, guy punch ending. I won't spoil it, incase anyone hasn't seen it.
Directed by Gregory Hoblit, whose previous movie was Primal Fear Fallen is one of my favourite Denzel movies.
Sadly, Fallen bombed upon release only grossing $25 million (on a $46 million budget) and was the 75th highest grossing movie of the year.
