I binged the first 4,5 episodes of the first season and I was honestly bothered. If I described the show to you, you would say it was Magnum P. I. If I let you watch the series, you would be like: what is this?
Let's start with the fact that every character is dulled down to less layered version of their characters.
Maybe I just haven't given this show enough ink to write its characters yet, BUT I am excused from blame by the simple fact that the very first 4 episode tries to be so freaking serious. Like: here is the characters, take them very seriously because look they been through some bad stuff.
Another very annoying thing is that they introduce this character that would have made a good contribution. Yet he gets exited and we only see him in flashbacks like we needed a more detailed explanation for why vets would move to paradise instead of returning to boring useless lives.
This show just feels like it's filling gaps that didn't need to be filled and dulling sharp edges that didn't need to.
