This show is a prime example of how talent can carry a show, however in that spirit, it's also a testament at how bad writers can get away with writing absolute garbage. Mel and Jack carry the show. The rest of the cast isn't bad, some more annoying than others but the thing that makes this show insufferable is the way they do time skipping in plot points.
See they way most shows do it is, you have a pivotal moment, and then you see what happens. Somehow the writers in this show were so obscenely bad that the only way they could qualify them still having jobs is if instead of showing the viewers what happened they would instead just show the result the next episode and slowly reveal in tiny pieces what happened. It's the worst decision of any producer that I've ever seen.
