I was really excited to watch this movie after reading some of the reviews, but the issue with the movie is they tried too hard to bring light to issues such as misogyny. Ranveer did not have to wear a bra to prove a point. That could've been easily done in another way! The movie was a bit annoying with the constant old songs playing in the background, the actors randomly burst into singing through the movie. Alia's screaming was a bit over the top in every scene. Alia and Ranveer's kissing scenes were unnecessary! Ranveer constantly wearing brands was fine but the outfits did not have to have huge VERSACE and FENDI and GUCCI logos. Those were a bit tacky and over the top. In terms of acting, Ranveer was great. Jaya played herself in the movie. Alia was average. Dharmendra barely spoke a couple lines. And the big deal around Dharmendra and Shabana's little peck on the lips was dramatic. There was nothing worthy of controversy there. Overall it was a one time watch, I was not impressed.
