Vindication is a special series. It is a series that understands the cliches of Christian media and then turns them on their head. It takes risks, tackles hard questions, does not give easy answers, and always leaves viewers with something to think about. And though there is a large cast of characters, nearly every character is complex and has their own motivations and struggles.
Many Christian productions have a sense of predictability, of the expected. Vindication is not one of these productions. I've never seen anything like it in Christian or faith-based media. When I sat down to watch Season 3, I had zero idea what would happen. And that was awesome!!
Vindication is easily on par with The Chosen in terms of storytelling and even surpasses it in some regards. Season 1 is solid, but it is more self-contained and episodic than later seasons. Season 2 kicks off a slow-burn story arc that ends with an edge-of-your-seat cliffhanger. But Season 3 is where Vindication really hits its stride! The third season has bold story choices with just the right amount of drama, character relationships, action, and intrigue. And the twists! So many twists. Season 2 raised some big questions, and Season 3 gives satisfying yet unexpected answers.
I am looking forward to Season 4!
