The setting of White Lightning, pretty much opens, the way it's predecessor did, only here in a grim way, the catalyst for beardless Burt's warring revenge, against a corrupt deputy, an almost unrecognizable Beatty for most part, responsible for the murder of his younger brother. Striking a deal, a more than happier Reynolds is glad to except, he works with authorities, to bring Beatty down, going sort of undercover. We meet some other characters, in some really played roles. Of course, Burt has some time, to make love to some pretties. It's great to watch cool Burt, strut his stuff, and that he does, like he knows how to. WL isn't anything special, but it delivers on an action drama scale, with some humor, Beatty, again, a real badarse. Trivia: One shot of an angry Burt, blasting off a a rifle became the VHS cover poster for it's follower, Gator.
