Well-written, well-acted, beautifully filmed, good 90's look in the costumes, and a delightful musical score. This is an authentic, emotional journey with quiet dialogue that will pull at your heart strings. One of the best LGBTQ movies that I've seen in years.
It's much harder than it looks to nail down good teenage dialogue without it sounding forced or dated, but this film does a good job of giving the characters just enough to say to make the viewer see things through their lenses and even lose yourself. The location was also breath-taking. I hope to see more lesbian films in the future that portray this kind of quality. It doesn't necessarily take a big budget just authenticity and heart which you'll find a lot of in this film.
