The rozeta stone of Disney movies descent into bankruptcy...
21 November 2023
I have seen this movie only once the year it came out and wow, it was so bad. I didn't even realize how bad it was. I only saw it once and never again.

Flashforward to 2023 and every Disney movie is a flop, every idea is boring and no one seems to understand when it started.

THIS movie is where it all started and we can see clear and unabashed ideas that would grow and become the Disney standard of bankrupt movies.

Back then we were still riding on a Disney high and people could ignore them because "it was only one movie." Flashforward to 2023 and every movie is some version of "Ralph breaks the internet".

This movie should be studied in writing schools next to "The Last Jedi" about how you should NEVER WRITE animated movie.

If you want to see how Disney started their nosedive into the age of making flop movies, this is the Rozeta Stone.

Here is a list of tropes that appear in this movie that have appeared in every Disney movie after it in some way: 1) Write convoluted stories that have nothing to do with the original.

2) Write about subjects that the writing team have no idea how it works. Their understanding of the Internet is horrible.

3) Disrespect and insult the main character to the point of character assassination;

4) Denegrate and insult a character (usually but always a male) to prop up another character so that they looks smarter, capable and independent.

5) Bait and Switch: using the title of a fairly recognizable character and then completely sideline the character for another character to lead the story.

6) Ignore the origin story of characters to make your story work. (So in the first movie we had the concept of "going Turbo". In this game Vanellope does the exact same thing but it's fine because her name isn't Turbo I guess).

7) Insult and denigrate the giants who's shoulders you are standing on. (The Disney princesses scenes! Omg, I am glad that Disney is finally paying for that with their wallets) RIP Disney princess movies!

8) Ignore your critics. They don't know what they want or they don't know what is right. (Ralph is encouraged to ignore the comments and criticism to his own videos) wow... this was befor the last Jedi, this was before calling your critics bots or trolls. If you ignore the people who care about your product long enough then apathy takes over and it doesn't matter what you do, you are not going to get them back.

There are more but these toxic ideas should NEVER be used in movies. Ever. THIS movie is where they were all on display and they only learned to hide it after this movie.
