The premise of this show is intriguing and I like the idea of storylines that will inevitably intertwine.
The characters are well written and well acted but.....there was always going to be a'but'.
There are some things that don't add up.
The new couple move to a palm lined estate, where in England might that be?
They can buy a house like that on a teachers and local newspaper reporter's salary.
A policeman gets away with using his bike for nefarious purposes, surely they have tracking devices on them?
She is starting at a new school whilst he appears to have been at the newspaper long enough to produce a report on local corruption.
I read that some filming was done in Holland, which is where I assume the housing estate is, but the question is why go to the bother of doing that?
I know it's a drama but it is details that don't fit that ruin things for me.
