Don't get me wrong, having grown up with The Two Ronnies, I am very definitely biased. I also appreciate that the majority of the material would not be broadcast today. However, every age group should also appreciate that it was never meant to offend, just a bit of fun. Yes, there is plenty of innuendo and toilet humour. Isn't that what makes British comedy the best in the world, or perhaps I am just a bit of dinosaur. Anyway, I digress. Absolutely world class writing much of which was written by Ronnie B. As the pen name Gerald Wiley. I will agree that by end, the alternative comedy scene & anti-Thatcher stuff from the 80's made the The Two Ronnies look pretty ancient, but I will still happily watch most episodes over & over. Much missed never to be seen again.
