I remember Room 222 ages and ages ago when I watched it in the late 70s, and it was quite engrossing with the issues of the times, which is quite relevant even now. The only thing missing back then was social media to overshadow the lives of the students. I think Room 222 was rather relatable because it dealt with issues that youths face even now, and I think in some ways Room 222 was a precursor to Community.

Surprisingly, Room 222 had a laugh track in season one, but thankfully that got dropped because how could you laugh at the issues the students were facing, so thankfully it got more serious.
