Great period piece,set in Europe,remincent of American pioneering epics. Beautifully shot , sharp direction and matched with amazing acting. This movie captivated me from the beginning and did not let go till closing credits.
I'm not sure how the director managed to tell this story so seamlessly but imagine the artist he was working with had alot to do with it. From Mads to the background actors the movie was perfectly cast. To nail that is a miracle. Also, I usually complain about,not providing enough charactor background, but amazingly I did not need anymore than they gave! I felt emotionally invested.
