Although it's not exactly an upbeat film, I think it's an accurate capture of where a lot of us are day to day. Things are hard, life can be a mundane grind, and it's sometimes difficult to assess where we are in our lives? The path we're on, who we're on it with? Are we just going through motions?
The acting was great and overall I really enjoyed the film. I liked the interweaving storylines and the ensemble as a whole.
My only issue was the really lazy fatphobic catfishing. There were a lot of other ways that story line could have unfolded and leaning on "the fat guy" is just really unimaginative and cheap. Left a bad taste.
