All those involved did fine work; no criticism there. That being said this is the dullest Nolan film. While not being a huge fan of his last few attempts they're all still quality pictures though specific enjoyment of such differs greatly. There is a fun idea here. But the concept within this story is iridescent of INCEPTION. Not greatly but enough to know both tales came from the same craftsman. Both stories are similar even; if as noted, they both deal with "shimmers" and/or "glistens" of previous explored notions. Tangentially related; echoes of one another. While INCEPTION feels ground breaking this however IMO feels very convoluted. Enough to heed the growing trend of "so-so yet visually stunning films" he has had of late.
