How it SHOULD have ended

Warning: Spoilers
This series had so much potential but completely blew the ending. The problem was setting up Evie and Pete as the main characters/protagonists, and then destroying their story arch by making them villains in the end.

They hinted at Evie's descent into madness, but the last episode just makes her look calculated and evil, not sick. Shooting Pete after telling him she doesn't love him then crying about it was almost humorous.

I think a better ending would be if there was one last twist; Evie isn't pregnant. She suffers from that syndrome where you want a baby so badly she develops symptoms and the belief she is. Then Pete vows to help her back to sanity and both couples learn valuable lessons and try to repair their marriages.
