Review of Sisu

Sisu (2022)
More lives than the proverbial moggy

Sisu = My IMDb Rating 7/5 Stars

Just finished watching this movie and for the most part, it was a somewhat grimy tale of a Finnish Neanderthal.

The Germans and the 'Hero' conversed in English, but when what I initially took to be Russians arrived, they all presumably spoke that language.

Is the Star supposed to be some form of Finnish folk hero, he is portrayed as something straight out that countries folk mythology.

The movie had started out as a gritty overly violent type of 'Scandy drama', not my usual cuppa but I was endeavouring to persevere with it.

But it morphed into something well frankly farcical, and I found myself snorting hysterically at the increasingly outlandish precepts.

It took my son Jamie with his extensive knowledge of cinema, to put this into any form of context.

My review rating reflects this degeneration in Sisu's content, unfortunately IMDb does not allow any flexibility in its Ratings, to be able to satisfactorily reflect this phenomena.
