A fun movie but felt stretched near the end.

Warning: Spoilers
This, as the title says, is a very fun and enjoyable movie with spectacular special effects even though the underwater effects are intentionally blurry because water diffuses light. But the ending or climax felt a little stretched as if the film was trying to wrap up to many storylines at the same time or throw in last minute complications. Martin short's character could have been severely pared down. However, I think there was more to stingray's character that ended up on the cutting room floor, and it shows in the film.

The film is action packed with a lot of out of the frying pan and into the fire moments. But what could have been taken out was the totally predictable attempted child sacrifice scene, or, at least give the doctor a line like, "I would have fallowed you almost anywhere, but child sacrifice is a step too far" right after Manta said, "a fine time for you to grow a spine." You can predict what he was going to do a mile off.

One of my biggest problem with these super hero films is that, well let's say, one of the best parts of the Star Wars is films was that Darth Vader had kept surviving and kept coming back so that the characters could be used again (up to a point), and provide continuity. This film doesn't. Now who is Aquaman going to fight next? So don't say that is a major spoiler because people have seen it enough times to know that is coming.
