I remember Automan from the 1980s when sitcoms made anything possible with the wave of optimism following the 1980 election and the release of the hostages. Anyway, in some ways I think Automan was ahead of its time now that we have electric cars and all.
Desi Arnaz Jr, the son of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz is the lead star, supported by Chuck Wagner as Automan himself.
It's a shame Automan ran for only 13 episodes, so really the network should have given it time to grow rather than running out of gas (or electricity). I sometimes wonder about the production crew who stake their financial planning on TV series that are axed way too soon.
