I see people complaining that it is a rip off of Bridgerton or a horrible adaptation of the novel. I never watched Bridgerton or read the novel so I was able to watch this for pure enjoyment and I loved it. I'm a sucker for blending history with current music etc (A Knight's Tale, anyone?). I didn't care if this was historically accurate-it isn't trying to be, so just enjoy it. I thought the acting was good-not the best acting in the world but definitely not horrible like some reviews are making it out to be. If your expectations are set correctly, I think you will really enjoy this show! Can't wait for the second season.
