This prison drama could have been far better, far less cheesy, especially concerning the ending and the clumsy love affair between the unbearable Richard Berry and the female character. Such a shame because for the rest, the directing is rather OK and I repeat, the bulk of interest here, the most important thing is the Richard Bohringer's performance as a prison warden who, after being wounded during a prisoners escape, seeks revenge against the lead Berry an inmate who was a bystander. Such a plot looks very like an American movie, especially for the final minutes. Unfortunately. Such a waste, such a waste. Focus on Bohringer and forget the rest.
