Arthur Conan Doyle's skeleton is believed, by some,or one, to have clawed its way to the surface and danced for joy in the moonlight when this movie was released! John Rhys-Davies deserved an Oscar for best actor, David Warner for best supporting actor, and the cast a Saturn for best ensemble for this fantasy/sci-fi thriller!
The music is excellent, with full symphony orchestra, composed by four outstanding composers. The direction, cinematography, period costuming, makeup, and writing are top-notch, as well. It is filmed in real jungle locations.
While it can be a little intense, it is a wonderful watch for your family.
