I had a chance to watch My Last Best Friend, on the big screen, in Sarasota, FL.
MLBF is a very cleverly written independent movie that features a wonderful double performance by Eric Roberts as the childish, gullible Walter Stoyanov and as well as the nameless, mildly intimidating Protagonist (duh, duh, duh).
The script keeps the audience guessing wether they're watching a movie about a guy suffering from multiple personality disorder or a drama featuring two twin brothers.
The acting is all-around solid even for the secondary characters. I particularly appreciated Brian Byus's performance (as Robert Stoyanov, Walter's estranged son) and Adrienne Lauren's as Jennifer, the mysterious Protagonist's lover.
Truly a little independent gem.
Check it out.
