Never been a Riddler fan. Possibly because I don't like riddles and puzzles. I kinda liked the version in the Gotham tv series though it's wasn't perfect either.
When we first meet Riddler in The Batman he's already a full fledged villain. Now we get his backstory.
We get teased in the beginning that Batman had some part in creating The Riddler. When they finally reveal it, it doesn't hold up to say the least.
We get another reveal in the end that's supposed to make us feel somewhat sorry for the Riddler/Edward Nigma. Make him more human so to speak. Even in a cartoon world it doesn't really work.
I don't like Riddler's look either. Especially with this back story. We're supposed to see a human being turned evil but he doesn't even look human. He's extremely skinny, having almost no waist.
I'll probably never be a fan of Riddler but this one is disappointing nevertheless.
