For The Whole Family
17 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I saw Arthur the King, starring Mark Wahlberg-Uncharted, Lone Survivor; Ali Suliman-Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan_tv, Lone Survivor; Nathalie Emmanuel-the Fast & Furious movies, Game of Thrones_tv and Simu Liu-Barbie, Taken_tv.

This movie is based on a true story and is one of those feel good movies that the whole family can enjoy. Mark plays the leader of a four person team that participates in what is called Adventure Racing. It's a competition race where the groups run, kayak, ride bicycles, hike and climb over 400 miles across country. Mark has participated lots of times before but never won. His new team consists of Ali, who has a bad leg, Nathalie, a great climber, and Simu, a tech guy that loves to post pictures of their journey. They get a new team member with Arthur, a dog that follows them and helps them along the way-Arthur even saves some of them from falling off a cliff. There is some sad moments when Arthur has some physical problems and there is an overall message of team work as their endurance is tested to the limits. During the end credits, pictures of the real Arthur and participants are shown and there is a cameo of Bear Grylls-for those like me that don't have it, he has a show on Netflix called, You Vs Wild.

It's rated PG-13 for language and has a running time of 1 hour & 30 minutes.

It's not one that I would buy on DVD-once was enough-but it would be alright to stream.
